Redding Police Department announced that a Siskiyou County jury has convicted Eric Eugene Card of murdering Danielle Renee Bisnell. The verdict follows a lengthy trial in which prosecutors argued Card killed Bisnell on Dec. 10, 2019, two days after she was reported missing. Investigators determined that earlier that day she met Card at a 7-Eleven on Eureka Way in Redding. Detectives said Bisnell agreed to travel to Oregon with Card after he convinced her to go with him.
The investigation stretched across multiple states and involved the RPD, Siskiyou County District Attorney's Office, FBI, and Lebanon Police Department in Oregon. Card is scheduled to be sentenced on Aug. 18, 2026.
